About Tamara Tarasova
Tamara Tarasova is the developer of the LMACT (Learn-Move-Act) Method, integrating education, movement science, and behavior change practice.
I spent years working as a corporate professional and education consultant before making a deliberate choice to shift my career toward something I believe in deeply — helping people become healthier, stronger, and more capable of sustaining that change over time.
That background shapes everything I do. I bring the same rigor I applied to curriculum design and organizational work to building wellness programs — whether I'm delivering a workshop for a chiropractic practice or working one-on-one with someone who hasn't exercised in years and doesn't know where to start.
I work with a wide range of clients — from busy professionals and women navigating life transitions to adults managing chronic conditions like hypertension, diabetes, obesity, and osteoporosis, and those returning to movement after injury or medical guidance. My youngest client is 17, my oldest is 96. What they share is a need for an approach that is safe, realistic, and built around their actual life — not an ideal one.
My programs combine science-based nutrition guidance, movement and fitness training, and behavior change coaching — three pillars that only work when addressed together. This is the foundation of everything I offer, both to individuals and to the practices I partner with.

Dancing
At the age of 17, I discovered International Ballroom dancing and since then, different styles of dancing have become my body conditioning, mind-body practice, and a creative outlet all at once. Over the years, I have explored flamenco, belly dancing, ballet, modern dance, and Brazilian samba. Over the past several years I have immersed myself in the world of Argentine Tango, which I currently teach. I have performed at the Embassy of Argentina to the US and represented the Brazilian Samba at the DC Fiesta parade.

One of my special interests as a Fitness Trainer is to improve technique in dancers through targeted muscle training. I am a certified Progressive Ballet Technique (PBT) Teacher, helping dancers and beyond strengthening the core in a fun and novel way.
